Information You Provide to Us

Account Registration. When establishing an account with GoShield, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photograph, and payment details. You may choose to supplement your Rider profile with additional data, including saved addresses (e.g., home or workplace) and preferences like pronouns. We might also request identification documents (e.g., driver’s license), a profile picture, or “selfie” images to verify your identity. If you opt to use additional services on the GoShield Platform—such as vehicle-related features or linking other accounts like travel rewards—you may provide further information relevant to those services.

Usage Information. We gather data related to your interaction with the GoShield Platform, which includes specifics of rides such as date, time, destination, distance traveled, route details, payment methods, and the use of promotional or referral codes. Our e-bikes and scooters may continuously collect sensor data such as speed, directional changes, height measurements, acceleration, deceleration, and other technical metrics. Additionally, we monitor your engagement with our applications and websites, recording pages viewed, content accessed, and timestamps of your activity.

Driver Information. For individuals applying to become Drivers, we compile the information provided during the application process. This encompasses personal details like name, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photograph, physical address, government-issued identification numbers (e.g., social security number), driver’s license details, vehicle information, and insurance documentation. Financial information such as bank routing and account numbers as well as tax-related data is also collected. Depending on jurisdictional requirements for driving privileges and local programs, we may request additional licenses or permits. Post-qualification, ongoing verification might necessitate supplementary information to confirm your identity through methods like “selfie” imagery.

Communications Between Riders and Drivers. We employ third-party services to facilitate phone calls and text messaging between Riders and Drivers while safeguarding their actual phone numbers from one another. Although we do not share contact details directly, we collect data related to these communications—such as participants’ phone numbers (if applicable), dates, times, and message content—within our platform records. For security reasons, calls made via the GoShield Platform may be monitored or recorded; users will be notified prior to any such recordings.

Rider Information Shared with Drivers. To enable rides efficiently and safely, we transmit certain Rider details to Drivers at the time of ride request. These include pickup and drop-off locations, current Rider location, Rider’s name and profile picture, ratings received by the Rider, Rider-specific statistics (such as total rides completed or years as a Rider), any profile information entered by the Rider (e.g., pronouns), and additional stops specified within the app. Upon ride completion, feedback and ratings provided by the Rider are also shared with the Driver; while we anonymize the Rider’s identity in these communications to protect privacy—yet Drivers may still infer Rider identities based on shared context.
